ABOUT

My name is Katie; I run my own personal training business based in Crediton, covering surrounding areas such as Exeter and Tiverton.  I hope to improve other people’s lives by giving them the motivation and knowledge they need to become fit, healthy, and feel good about themselves.

I have spent most of my life in Devon, apart from five years at veterinary school in London, and love the outdoors and all it has to offer.  I have not always been particularly fit, it wasn't until I joined the rowing team at university that I realised that actually I wasn't as fit as I could be.  I started running and swimming and when I completed my degree I took part in several triathlons and long distance road bike races.  I have always been a competitive person and enjoy pushing myself to my limits, always putting 100 percent into what I do whether that’s training others or myself.

Having a medicine-based degree has given me a great understanding of the body, how we adapt to exercise and what we need to do to improve our health.  I have a wide knowledge base to benefit my clients and give advise, but also an understanding of what it takes to be fit and healthy, and how to make it work around a very demanding full time job.

I believe we should never see exercise purely as a way to fit a dress size that we think we should be, but to feel great and confidence.
